Value Assignments
This section trains working memory, mental flexibility, and quick calculation. You will be shown variable assignments and equations, then asked to recall or calculate the value of each variable.
Test rhythm
The challenge is to hold the latest variable values in memory while updating them as new equations appear. Focus on the current set only — once the next set begins, clear the previous one from memory.
Independent practice
This is independent ATSA-style practice and is not affiliated with the FAA, Pearson VUE, or any official testing provider.
Instructions
- 1You will see variables one at a time.
- 2Remember or calculate each variable's value.
- 3After the set is shown, you will be asked for A, B, and C in randomized order.
- 4You have 2 seconds per prompt. Entering early locks your answer until the timer ends.
- 5Answer with a single digit from 1-4. Results are shown only after the test ends.
Example rhythm
Each assignment appears by itself. When each prompt appears, enter only the numeric value.
Practice options
Test Mode is the default: no immediate feedback, no visible score, and results only after the full sequence ends.
Desktop keyboard or numpad practice is recommended. On-screen keypad is optional for touch devices.
