How it works
It estimates how many shares a dollar amount would have bought on the selected date, then values those shares at the ending close.
If a selected date falls on a weekend or market holiday, the calculator uses the latest available prior close and tells you that adjustment.
Split-adjusted history keeps the buy price, ending price, and chart on the same basis when a stock has undergone stock splits.
This MVP does not include dividends, taxes, brokerage fees, or real-time intraday quotes, so treat the output as a clean historical estimate.
